Robyn Rihanna popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados, is a Barbadian musician and singer who has given us hit songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. She is a very popular artist at the peak of her young age, she's sold over 140 million records and 41 million tracks across the globe, becoming one of the most successful artists of all time. Born in Barbados her family listened to reggae music, and began singing while she was young. Disturbed by her chaotic family life and the constant arguments between her parents, she immersed her self in music. She before long realized that she wanted to be a professional musician. The group she formed was a musical one as a teenager and was able to have an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. The producer requested that she move in New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna soon became an international star after her debut release. Her uplifting songs became favorites among the young who pushed her into the world of film. As a talented young woman, Rihanna has been hailed as a teenage idol.
