Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. She was the main female performer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The actor and singer who was christened Apollonia by Prince became one of many female performers in the 1980s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress born in the city of Santa Monica, California in 1959. Her early career included working as a television model. In 1984 she landed the role of the lead female for Prince's Purple Rain (during which time he switched her names) and was replaced by Vanity in the female trio Vanity 6 singing with them in the movie under the name Apollonia 6. Sex Shooter on the soundtrack was a minor popularity for her group, however when she was Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You she was more successful.
