Garena's Garena Premier League (GPL) began in the month of May. It is a professional online gaming event that lasts for over six months, and comprises over 100 games. The GPL's first season includes six teams of professionally-trained League of Legends players. that represent elite players from different countries. GPL matches are recorded and broadcast live on-line with commentary. The games are available for viewers to view on the GPL's official site. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two teams that are new to Taiwan as well as Vietnam, bringing the number of teams to eight.
