Garena's Garena Premier League (GPL) began in the month of May. It is a professional online gaming event that lasts for over six months, and comprises over 100 games. The GPL's first season includes six teams of professionally-trained League of Legends players. that represent elite players from different countries. GPL matches are recorded and broadcast live on-line with commentary. The games are available for viewers to view on the GPL's official site. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two teams that are new to Taiwan as well as Vietnam, bringing the number of teams to eight. These teams include AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Saigon Jokers, Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels. Garena's eSports stadium, a place that is dedicated to esports within the Neihu District Taipei, opened its doors on November 14 in 2014. The studio opened in November 2014 in time for the beginning of the League of Legends Masters Series. It's the top LoL Taiwanese in Hong Kong, Taiwanese, as well as the Macau LoL League which spun off from the GPL. In January 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League the first women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. This is a bimonthly affair that is played in the second halves of each month.
